At Redbrick Academy, we are always looking for ways to support local families and make everyday routines smoother for parents and pupils alike. Strong relationships with local schools are at the heart of how our partnership with Coppice Primary Academy has grown over time.
How Our Relationship Began
Our journey with Coppice Primary Academy started when Mr. Hulmes, Head of the Academy, reached out to us to learn more about Redbrick Academy and our wraparound childcare provision. He was keen to explore how our after-school support could benefit Coppice pupils and offer additional flexibility for parents.
Following this initial contact, we invited Mr. Hulmes to our setting. This gave us the opportunity to showcase our facilities, discuss shared goals, and explore how a collaboration could best serve the local community.
Connecting with Families
To build trust and ensure parents felt fully informed, we began attending Coppice Primary Academy’s parents’ evenings. These sessions provided a fantastic platform to speak directly with families, answer questions, and explain the balanced environment we offer – combining academic tuition, character development, recreational activities, and well-being support.
A Safe, Direct Collection Service
As our working relationship developed, we identified a practical way to make life easier for busy parents: introducing a dedicated school collection service directly from Coppice Primary Academy.
Under this service, children are safely collected from school by our trained staff and escorted directly to Redbrick Academy. This provides parents with complete peace of mind, knowing their children are transitioning safely into a high-standard after-school setting.
An Enriching Environment for Every Child
Since launching this initiative, we have had the pleasure of welcoming many Coppice pupils into both our After-School Club and Holiday Club programmes. Once at Redbrick, children engage in a rich, varied timetable designed to nurture their individual talents and interests, including:
- Academic & Tuition Support: Helping pupils consolidate their schoolwork and build confidence in core subjects.
- Cultural & Character Studies: Offering structured Quran and Islamic studies support in an engaging, value-focused space.
- Creative & Physical Activities: Keeping children active and inspired through arts and crafts, sports, team games, and enrichment projects.
Looking to the Future
Communication is the foundation of any successful collaboration. We remain in regular contact with the leadership team at Coppice Primary to ensure our provision continues to adapt to the evolving needs of their pupils and families.
We are immensely proud of how this has flourished, and we look forward to continuing our work alongside Coppice Primary Academy to provide a safe, enriching and supportive community for all our young learners.
